Tri Tri Goby
We Pulled out every skill in the kit for this one from UW, macro, long lens, drone, studio… you name it. I shot wide shots, natural behaviour on location aswell as setting up macro sets or the climbing shots. This was then backed up with beautiful Tank footage from Alastair MacEwen.

Burrowing Owls
This was a great sequence to shoot alongside Tom Rowland. We actually both worked with two seperate families of owls to play off each other in the sequence but ended up combining our footage for one more exciting sequence. The highlight for me was filming the parents defend the nest from the Roadrunner.

Coatis
This Sequence was filmed over a month in Argentina alongside cameraman Phil Klien. This was for the BBC's Parenthood series. Highlights included being the first person to film the species nesting (not shown in seqence) and working with this species post covid and seeing the difference in behaviour since filming them in the same location before hand. I shot main camera longs whilst Phil worked with the Ronin to get more dynamic moves.

Mother Tree
An Exciting sequence to work on with lots of VFX thrown in the mix. Advanced Drone moves, shooting green screen studio pieces on location, to cut in with Cable Dolly footage from James Aldred then back to my own Ronin and motorised slider footage and wildlife sequences within and around the tree.

Kit Foxes
This is one of the sequences that will stay with me forever, I was lucky to be involved in all aspects of the production for it. I was out on location for over 8 weeks in total including a Recce, Main shoot and Pick up shoot a year later. We were able to tell a story that covered both new behaviour, new climate breakdown consequences and pushed my technical limits from using long lens, Drone, Selex Superhawk Thermal Camera, Doing Macro, Camera traps and Timelapse/ Time studies.

Lynx
On this shoot, I was mainly operating the remote camera (DJI 4D), capturing the elusive Iberian lynx inside their barn home, with a little bit of long lens thrown in. It was awe-inspiring to see such a rare and special species thriving in Europe. I worked alongside lots of cameramen over multiple shoots who worked on the likes of GSS to hide work elsewhere on the farm.

Kaikoura Quake - Bounce Back
Kaikoura Quake is a short documentary, starring BBC and National Geographic presenter, Lizzie Daly. At midnight, a magnitude 7.8 earthquake struck New Zealand, devastating habitats and breeding grounds. The earthquake motivated a rethinking of seismic hazard models and was disastrous for the local biodiversity. In this pilot episode of the series “Bounce Back,” we have exposed the sheer determination that these irrepressible species have to survive against all odds.

The Last Highland Tiger
This is a Documentary about the Scottish wildcat. Fabled for their ferocity and often referred to as Highland tigers, due to its un-tamable nature. This majestic cat is in trouble, now rarer then the Bengal tiger its in need of our help. Outnumbered by feral cats, which compete for food and space; they also will hybridise with the pure breeds, watering away the wildcat gene. Scientists estimate that there may be fewer than 50 Scottish wildcats left in the wild, and only a handful that are genetically pure. But there is hope. A breeding program has been put in places all over the United Kingdom with new DNA technology may help identify the best and purest prospects for breeding. Through working with local landowners and been conserved by the actions of neutering, and habitat conservation, the wildcat has a chance.
